Kathmandu, September 15, 2025 — Three newly sworn ministers officially took their oaths on Monday, marking a significant step in strengthening Nepal’s government. President Ram Chandra Paudel administered the oath to the new ministers in the presence of Prime Minister Sushila Karki. Their appointments highlight Nepal’s commitment to professional governance.

The three newly sworn ministers are:

  • Rameshwar Khanal – Finance Minister
  • Kulman Ghising – Minister for Energy, Physical Infrastructure, and Urban Development

The ceremony was held outside a damaged office building, with temporary arrangements including a canopy. National Assembly Chair Narayan Dahal attended, while former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai also witnessed the event. Other guests included heads of government agencies and diplomatic representatives.

Three Newly Sworn Ministers and Their Responsibilities

Rameshwar Khanal will manage government finances and budgets as Finance Minister.

Kulman Ghising will handle energy projects, infrastructure, and urban development.
